  Session 6: Advocacy in Action - Self-care for OT Practitioners: Preventing Burnout
  

  Rates of burnout in healthcare providers are estimated at 30% to 50% (Adams et al., 2024). I would like to offer a series of wellness workshops for OT practitioners with a goal to enhance quality of life and prevent burnout. I would like this series to maximize participants’ time by offering continue education (CEU’s) toward license and certification renewal, while at the same time offering a chance to relax, connect, and play with self-care tools that practitioners can incorporate into their own lives. This goal will be accomplished by linking evidence-based research articles with some immediate practical applications of research.
