OT PROGRAMS IN WISCONSIN


PREREQUISITES

Schools typically require coursework in biological and behavioral sciences. Each school has different prerequisites. Information can be found by searching the school's website. Most programs also require volunteer or paid work experience with persons with disabilities prior to entering.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

To prepare for a career in OT, one must:

  • Complete an education program accredited by AOTA's Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)
  • Complete fieldwork
  • Pass the national exam given by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
