WOTA Ethics: Session 2: Professional Integrity, Responsibility, and Accountability (Section 1)
WOTA is pleased to offer an exciting new webinar series this year specific to ethics for the occupational therapy practitioner. Each session will welcome special guest speakers from the AOTA ethics committee. The session will follow the newly released book, Everyday Ethics & the Occupational Therapy.
This session will be number 2 is the series and focus on the first section in the Code of Ethics. The topic will be on profession integrity, responsibility and accountability.
Guest Speaker:
Ashley Wagner, OTD, OTR/L
Ashley is the Director of Occupational Therapy for Family Forward’s Developmental Trauma Center in St. Louis, MO. She also serves as a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association’s Ethics Commission. Ashley speaks nationally on topics related to both trauma-specific occupational therapy for children and the overlap between ethics and equity work, especially within the LGBTQIA+ communities. When not in a late-night zoom meeting for one of her many professional projects or volunteer roles, you may catch Ashley listening to an audiobook during her morning run or, more likely, trying to unravel the mystery of which of her children needs the wacky socks clean for school on Wednesday.
